Every one of us is unique and here at Unity we understand how importance that is. All our treatments are tailored to your specific needs helping you to achieve optimum physical, emotional and spiritual well-being.
Unity Practitioners have completed four years of full time training to degree level at the International College of Oriental Medicine in East Grinstead. This covers Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology from an Eastern and Western perspective.
Also specific to this college, the Stems and Branches theory is an additional tool giving an extra insight into you, the individual, helping your practitioner give the best treatment. Your Practitioners are also all qualified in massage and offer this for Musculoskeletal and sports injury problems independently of the Acupuncture.
Who Is Acupuncture For?
Everybody, there is no age limit; even young children may be treated with use of acupressure (stimulation of Acupuncture points without needles). Acupuncture can be very supportive during pregnancy therefore it is important to inform your practitioner if you are or could be pregnant.
Is It Safe?
Patients can feel assured that their safety is always put first. All Unity practitioners are registered with the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) which guarantees that extensive training has been undertaken for a minimum of three years, and members are bound by their code of ethics with regard to professional safe practice. NB: Unity only uses single use disposable needles. Anyone treated by a member of the BAcC will still be eligible to donate blood through the National Blood Service and a certificate can be provided.
