Oriental Medicine Training
Tai-Chi/ Qigong Training
Marcus studied and practiced the Chinese martial art of Tai-Chi/Qigong for several years both in the UK and Australia before becoming an instructor under the World Taiji Boxing Association (WTBA). He continued to teach classes until enrolling to study Acupuncture full-time after which he decided only to continue with private lessons and his own personal training.

Acupuncture and Massage Training
With a firm understanding in the principles of Tai-Chi and Qigong Marcus went on to study Oriental Medicine: Acupuncture at the International College of Oriental Medicine (ICOM) in East Grinstead. He qualified with a BSc (Hons) degree in Oriental Medicine/ Acupuncture and has worked in the college clinic ever since. This four year course examines the philosophy underpinning Oriental medicine along with all the practical aspect included in the art of acupuncture. It looks at anatomy, physiology and pathology from both a western scientific perspective and an oriental holistic perspective. It also teaches the philosophy of Stems and Branches a Classical approach to better understanding the individual through knowledge of their constitution. Marcus also holds a Diploma in Holistic Massage which he integrates into his other practices.

Nutritional Medicine Training
He then went on to study Nutrition at the London College of Traditional Acupuncture (LCTA) where he qualified as a Nutritionist and is currently writing his Masters paper on Nutritional Medicine as a preventative healthcare. Marcus truly believes in the power of promoting health not just the idea of 'fix what is broken'. Working with this principle of increasing and supporting one's inherent health, dis-ease can be minimised and eventually eliminated. Marcus' training includes an understanding of Nutrition from both a Western and Eastern perspective which can be synergised advantageously to create an individual approach to nutrition.

C
ontinuing Practitioner Development
Marcus feels he is always updating and adding to his knowledge base so as to transform theory into practice and better serve his patients. This Continual Practitioner Development (CPD) is accomplished by attending post-gradate seminars and discussion groups in the ever-growing field of Nutrition and the ever-intricate and subtle web that is Oriental Medicine! Originally the great sages of ancient times (Oriental Medicine Doctor) would have had all the necessary skills needed to treat the myriad of diseases that interact with the human form. These skills would have included: astrology, exercise (Tai-chi, Qigong), massage (Tui-na), medicine including: diet (nutrition), herbs, psychology and acupuncture. Marcus feels that in some small way he working his way towards achieving these goals!
