I went to see Yvonne before my first round of IVF after years of trying, numerous IUI cycles and several miscarriages. Two rounds later, and I have two wonderful children and a good friend. I have been visiting Unity Acupuncture for a couple of years and although my primary reason for this was to help with fertility, the acupuncture I received also helped ease my irritable bowel, and also reduced stress levels.

I was at the end of my tether trying for a baby when somebody recommended acupuncture. Besides being skeptical, I was not a lover of needles, however, I was willing to give anything a try. How surprised I was, the needles were very fine and only a few were used at a time, far from the picture I head in my head of being covered in them! Yvonne was amazing, so gentle (didn't feel the needles at all) and calm and so easy to talk to. I don't know if it was the acupuncture that helped but it was the best thing I ever did. People say all the time, you'll get pregnant if you don't stress! That is a lot easier said then done, especially as time ticks on. After a session of acupuncture I was the most chilled out and positive person I knew and I could handle anything. I now have an amazing family that I dreamed of for so long, a beautiful daughter who is 2 1/2 and a wonderful 1 1/2 year old son! Now life has different stresses, I think I'll return to my safe relaxing haven with Yvonne!

After a couple of years trying for a baby, and two ectopic pregnancies resulting in medical treatment and a reduced chance of fertility. I was in a very emotional place and was beginning to doubt if having a baby would ever happen. In 2008 I read an article in the paper about Unity Acupuncture Clinic and how Yvonne had helped some women conceive. I was sceptical although felt I needed to do something, so I booked my first session with Yvonne.
I was still very emotional when I first went to see Yvonne and had only recently recovered from my second ectopic pregnancy. The clinic was a friendly and tranquil environment. I felt completely at ease, and was able to talk openly about my feelings which was a great release.
At every visit to the clinic I was made to feel very comfortable, relaxed and listened to. The treatment was great I would come away feeling relaxed, quite sleepy and in a much more positive frame of mind. It also gave me hope again.
In August 2008 after only a few months of the acupuncture treatment I found out I was pregnant and it was a viable healthy pregnancy. I have never been so happy and so grateful for Yvonne's help. My little miracle is now nearly 2 years old and it is thanks to the acupuncture she is here today.

I had been trying for about a year to get pregnant but my reason for going to Yvonne was actually because of the headaches I was getting. Once she had sorted the headaches out she then asked if I wanted to try the fertility acupuncture as she knew I'd been trying. I jumped at the chance and we conceived very quickly after.
